The work of a designer or an artist like Nargess cannot be understood without context. This context is that of a country that is magnificently rich in the arts, and deep heritage of Interior architectural mastery. Born in Iran, Nargess believes a beautiful house would draw attention away from politics and onto design of one’s social character of life. The contrast between grandeur and simplicity along with the natural materials, earthy colors and elaborate designs makes a big and long-lasting impression.

Nargess pursued her education in France, and then moved to USA for continuing education in Interior Architect- graduated from DISD (Design Institute of San Diego). France really has influenced Nargess style with right blend of classics and contemporary blend, her company Maison Decor translates from French as House Decor represents Nargess’s love for changing a house into a beautiful warm home.

From her philosophy of “home boutiques” designing and space planning of upscale closet space to emphasis on kitchen, wine cellars, Bathrooms, Vanities, & office areas, her forte is to make space work for your needs. She loves high quality millwork, fond of Earthy colors and natural materials like wood, stone [and] reed [are used] for finishing and furniture. This, together with the common floor plan and motifs referencing nature and wildlife, creates a warm and calm atmosphere and a special connection to Mother Earth.

Her interior design shows us how architecture itself can be interior design. Inspired from the honeycomb [vaults] called Muqarnas to the Persian garden, is all about abstraction. Western interior design is usually the opposite, as we add things to rather empty spaces.

After working at world’s most prestigious locations Italy, Dubai, France and New York, she is currently resides in West Los Angeles area.

Her clientele list includes Ricky and Ralph Lauren, Robert H. Ahmanson, Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshalls, Ron Meyer, Irwin Azoff, Elizabeth and Lee Gabler, Jay Marciano, Meredith and David Kaplan, and many other high profile clients.
